Castor Oil Heat Wrap Pack

This premium bundle brings you three essential components – organic cold-pressed hexane-free castor oil, a tailored wrap, and a dedicated heat pack – for effective at-home application of the traditional castor oil compress technique with modern convenience. Available in South Africa for home use.

The castor oil heat wrap pack includes:

• 1 x Wrap ( approx 42cm x 21cm): Inner layer 100% cotton flannel for maximum absorption; outer layer breathable waterproof PUL fabric to prevent leaks and mess. Zipper pouch accommodates the heat pack. Adjustable elastics allow a secure fit for sizes xs to xxl.
• 1 x Heat Pack ( approx 19cm x 11cm): Insert into the wrap’s pocket after heating ( max 1min 30 sec). Heat pack should be heated separately from the wrap. Take the inner heat pack out of the compress wrap to heat.  The heat helps enhance the oil absorption and boost circulation.
• 1 x Organic Cold-Pressed Castor Oil (200ml amber glass): Hexane-Free processing ensures purity, retaining the active ricinoleic acid, which has anti-inflammatory and skin-soothing benefits. Studies support castor oil’s ability to promote natural healing for skin, joints, and circulation.

Adjust the size if too long by wrapping the elastic more than once around the area. Or fold the elastic to the preferred size, use a safety pin and secure the elastic to size. (see pic – product gallery)

Directions using the castor oil heat wrap pack:

1. Pour / Drizzle 2 Tbls of castor oil to the inner flannel side of the wrap, avoiding the ends. Wrap should be saturated, not dripping.
2. Let the wrap stand for 30 minutes for some oil to absorb into the wrap.
3. Place the wrap on the targeted area (e.g., under the right ribcage for liver, lower back for kidneys, abdomen for uterus. Use elastic straps to secure in place).
4. Heat only the heat pack in the microwave (up to 1 min 30 sec). Let it stand and test the temperature before placing into the wrap.
5. Place the heat pack into the wrap’s zipper pocket, then wear the castor oil wrap for min 1 hour, ideally 1-3 hours or overnight (wear old sleepwear to avoid any staining).
6. Use daily for 3-4 consecutive days or 3-4 times per week, occasionally as needed thereafter.

Heat ONLY the HEAT PACK, DO NOT HEAT the entire wrap. Heat only the heat pack in the Microwave for no more than 1 min 30 sec (1 min 30 sec). Leave standing out of the microwave and check the temperature of the heat pack.

IMPORTANT– Feel and check if the temperature of the heat pack is suitable for you before placing it in the Compress wrap zipper section. Heat tolerance and sensitivity vary from person to person as well on different parts of the body. If it feels too hot, wait for it to cool a bit before placing it. If you place the heat pack and it feels too hot on the skin, remove it immediately and wait for it to cool down before placing it back.

How often should the castor oil wrap be used?

• Use daily for a few hours 1 – 3 hours or longer (min 60min)
• The wrap can be applied and used overnight, which will enhance the benefits.
• Use  3-4 days in a row or 3-4 times a week, repeat whenever necessary.

Care And Storage Instructions After Use:

• Remove the heat pack from the zipper section. Pack and store separately.
• Remove the castor oil wrap from the area placed. Skin may be cleansed – dust some bicarbonate of soda onto the area and then rinse the area.
• Store the wrap in a glass container in the fridge if re-using; before next use let it come to room temperature, you may add a small amount of castor oil to bring the pack back to saturation. It is advised not to place cold castor oil wrap on your body.
• Store the castor oil bottle in a cool dry place away from direct sunlight.

Heat Pack Storage Instructions:

• The heat pack once received needs to be heated at least once a week in the microwave for 1 min 30 sec even if you are not using the heat pack.
• The heat pack should be stored in a cool dry place. The heat pack is made of natural grains, therefore needs to be kept correctly to prevent mold or weevils.
• If you choose not to use the heat pack at all, please store in the freezer until you decide to use the heat pack. Remove from the freezer, leave standing for a few hours, and heat in the microwave as instructed in the information leaflet before use.

Suggested placement of the wrap

Place the castor oil wrap under the right ribcage. This area covers many of the digestive organs, including the stomach, pancreas, small intestine, large intestine, adrenals, and kidneys and parts of the liver. This also includes the Omentum and all the many lymph nodes located in this area.

For uterus:

Place the pack in the centre of your abdomen. Low enough to cover your uterus, as well as your liver.

Important Safety Notice:

• External use only
• Never share the castor oil wrap between different people
• Not recommended during pregnancy, trying to conceive, during menstruation, or if experiencing diarrhoea.
• Test the castor oil and the wrap on a small area to see if you have any skin reactions prior to use.

Washing instructions: Only wash when necessary

• Soak overnight in a bowl in a mixture of hot water, bicarbonate of soda, and natural dish soap.
• In the morning, hand wash with hot water and natural dish soap, wring it out very well.
• Take an old tea towel (that you don’t mind ruining) and lay the outer layer of the pack against it.
• Roll the pack up in the tea towel, blotting out the oil until there is little oily residue left on the outer layer.
• Hang it to dry.
• If wrap is stored correctly can be reused 30-40 times (i.e. around 2-3 months), thereafter the cloth needs to be discarded and a new wrap used.
